Elsie Blount

President and Owner

The success of UNIGLOBE Travel Designers, Inc. is most often credited to the direct involvement of the company's owner and president, Elsie Blount, who has managed the agency for more than 15 years. She has an extensive knowledge of the travel industry and exceptional ability to supervise the process of gathering and processing information. She actively participates in supplier negotiations and uses her travel expertise to make recommendations and advise clients on the administration of those agreements.

Ms. Blount personally oversees the agency's largest accounts and demands from her staff the best in service for all clients. In 2010, UNIGLOBE Travel Designers, Inc. was recognized for the twelfth year in a row as a Star Agency and for the fifth year received the distinction of membership in the Chairman's Circle, an elite representation of the top travel agencies in the UNIGLOBE International System. The agency is consistently listed in the Business First recognition of top five ranked Greater Columbus Travel Agencies.

In addition to her successful business accomplishments, Ms. Blount has been recognized for her community service and willingness to "give back." Among those recognitions is the prestigious YWCA Women of Achievement Award. She also serves as Board Member and President of the National Association for the Education of African American Children with Learning Disabilities, vice chair of the Planning Commission for the City of Bexley, and trustee for the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts.

Favorite Vacation: I love cruising! It's a great way to visit multiple destinations in one vacation. Cruise ships are literally traveling hotels! You go to bed at night and awake to a new and exciting place to explore.
